Intelligent Workflows

Categories and Fields must be added for these processes. See Categories and Values and Fields for guidance.

View Intelligent Workflow Rules

  1. Log In to EpochField Web Suite. See Log In to EpochField Web Suite for guidance.

  2. Select Open under EpochField Workflow Builder.

  3. As soon as the user logs in to the application, the available Work Order Types are displayed.

  4. Click Load next to the Work Order Type.

Add New Intelligent Workflow Rule

  1. Log In to EpochField Web Suite. See Log In to EpochField Web Suite for guidance.

  2. Select Open under EpochField Workflow Builder.

  3. As soon as the user logs in to the application, the available Work Order Types are displayed.

  4. Click Load next to the Work Order Type.

  7. Click Add Workflow Rule.

  8. Fill out the Add Rule fields as necessary.

Define Rule

  • Rule Description: An abbreviated description of the Intelligent Workflow Rule.

  • Result Type: Choose one of the Result Types available from the dropdown menu. This can't be changed once the Define Query Components data entry fields contain data.

    • Required - If some condition is met, some category or field becomes required.

    • Hide - If some condition is met, some category or field becomes hidden.

    • Show - If some condition is met, some category or field that was hidden by default is shown.

    • Default Value - If some condition is met, some category or field is set to a default value.

    • One of Many Required - If some condition is met, some category or field is set to one of many categories or fields require.

Define Query Components: Specifies the queries involved in the rule. This section is disabled for the Result Type One of Many Required.

  • Category: Select the category for the query

  • Operator: Select the operator for the query

  • Value: Select the value for the query

  • Condition: Select the condition for the query.

    • Cannot use AND condition for Single Select categories.

  • Group: Select the group for the query

  1. Click Add Query.

  2. Fill out the Define Result Components fields as necessary.

  • Define Result Components: Specify the results that are involved in the rule. A Query Component must be defined and added to configure this section.

    • Category: Select the category for the result.

    • Value: Select the value for the result.

The logic of the Intelligent Workflow Rule will be visible below in the Rule Query String section. Review this to confirm the rule is configured as desired.

Edit Intelligent Workflow Rule

An Intelligent Workflow Rule must be added for this process. See Add New Intelligent Workflow Rule for guidance.

  1. Log In to EpochField Web Suite. See Log In to EpochField Web Suite for guidance.

  2. Select Open under EpochField Workflow Builder.

Delete Intelligent Workflow Rule

An Intelligent Workflow Rule must be added for this process. See Add New Intelligent Workflow Rule for guidance.

Deleted Intelligent Workflow Rules cannot be recovered.

  2. Select Open under EpochField Workflow Builder.
