Spatial Scans
Spatial Scans in EpochField allow users to define specific geographic parameters for work order tasks. When a spatial scan is set up, it can automatically detect and notify users if certain features are within a specified range during field operations.
View Spatial Scans
Log In to EpochField Web Suite. See Log In to EpochField Web Suite for guidance.
Select Open under EpochField Workflow Builder.
As soon as the user logs in to the application, the available Work Order Types are displayed.
Click Load next to the Work Order Type.
Select a Work Order Task Type.
Click the Spatial Scans tab.
Add New Spatial Scan
Log In to EpochField Web Suite. See Log In to EpochField Web Suite for guidance.
Select Open under EpochField Workflow Builder.
As soon as the user logs in to the application, the available Work Order Types are displayed.
Click Load next to the Work Order Type.
Select a Work Order Task Type.
Click the Spatial Scans tab.
Fill out the data entry fields as necessary.
Distance: Specify the distance (with the range of which the feature class is scanned for).
Units: Specify the units for the distance.
Value or Code: Specify either Value or Code.
Feature Class: Specify the feature class (which has to be searched for).
Field: Specify the feature class Field.
Notification Message: Specify the notification message to be displayed in EpochField if a feature is found within the range specified.
Capture Result: Check to store the results of the spatial scan. Click Save after checking or unchecking this.
Notify User: Check to notify the user of the spatial scan results. Click Save after checking or unchecking this.
Click Add Spatial Scan.
Edit Spatial Scan
A Spatial Scan must be added for this process. See Add New Spatial Scan for guidance.
Log In to EpochField Web Suite. See Log In to EpochField Web Suite for guidance.
Select Open under EpochField Workflow Builder.
As soon as the user logs in to the application, the available Work Order Types are displayed.
Click Load next to the Work Order Type.
Select a Work Order Task Type.
Click the Spatial Scans tab.
Click
Edit for the Spatial Scan to be edited.
Edit the data entry fields as necessary.
Click Save Spatial Scan.
Delete Spatial Scan
A Spatial Scan must be added for this process. See Add New Spatial Scan for guidance.
Deleted Spatial Scans cannot be recovered.
Log In to EpochField Web Suite. See Log In to EpochField Web Suite for guidance.
Select Open under EpochField Workflow Builder.
As soon as the user logs in to the application, the available Work Order Types are displayed.
Click Load next to the Work Order Type.
Select a Work Order Task Type.
Click the Spatial Scans tab.
Click
Delete for the Spatial Scan to be deleted.
Click Yes.
